It is a good thing I love working out because I also love food! I love experimenting in the kitchen, trying to make a recipe to taste just right. Could I make…. taste like the one I had at that restaurant last week? Could I make…. cheaper and just as tasty as my favorite brand?
Sometimes the experiments don’t work, but those that do I share.
Chocolate Truffle Icing (great on top of Wacky Cake)
Brownies (my made over version has less fat)
No Machine Needed Ice Cream Recipes
Chocolate Chip Cookies (using coconut oil and white whole wheat flour)
Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls (my sweet twist on a homemade Lara bar)
Ham and Cheese Breakfast Tortilla

My favorite cookbooks
I know The Tightwad Gazette isn’t really a cookbook but it does have dozen’s of thrifty recipes that my family uses over and over again so much so that the book lives in our kitchen.
This cookbook is a classic that I think every cook new and old needs in their recipe collection.
If you want to get use out of that bread machine this cookbook is a must!
Most of my family’s favorite cookie recipes can be found in this cookbook.
Amish cooking soothes the soul which is why I love this cookbook.
