Perhaps your children are too tiny to help a lot around the home yet, and/or your husband works long hours and can’t offer your much time , but either way you have too much work and too little time to do it in.
This is when you have to get creative to find time in your day to get your work done
How to Creating Time When You Don’t Have Any
1. Do a kid swap with a friend who has children of similar ages.
Children love playing with friends, so even when its your turn chances are you will get more done.
2. Insist on a daily rest time even if your children no longer nap.
I did this with my own children for years. During their younger siblings naps it was quiet time. They had a mat in the family room set out with a small snack and a few toys and books. It was also the only hour of the day they watched TV.
3. Swap Subjects.
I know of two homeschooling moms who swap kids and subjects. One day the kids all learn Art and History at one home the next day they learn Science and Spanish at the other home. Which means each mom has one entire day free to get things done.
4. Grandma/Grandpa afternoons.
If grandparents live close by perhaps they would enjoy a regular time to spoil the kids while you get your work done.
This week, sit down with a paper and pen and brainstorm, I bet you can add a few of your own ideas.
5. Does your church offer a mom’s morning or date night program
Mom’s morning and date night programs are offered at some local churches free of charge. For instance my own church offered at date night program at one time and even though my husband worked during that time I was able to drop off my kids and get some of my own work done in that time slot instead.
