1. Tutoring

Your campus may have a place where you can sign up to do local face to face tutoring, but if it doesn’t, you can try online tutoring through places like Wyzant for Tutors, Chegg Tutor, and Care.com.

2. Babysitting

Starting with families you know is usually the best way to get started with babysitting. If you are a college student though, you may not know that many families with kids in your college town. If that is the case, try these following websites to launch your babysitting career, urban sitter and care.com.

3. Uber Or Lyft Driver

You have to be 21 or older to work for either Uber or Lyft, and of course, you need to own a car. You might think living in a large urban center is also a must for these type of jobs, but really you just have to live near one. I know people who drive up to an hour to a larger urban center than where they live to guarantee they get a decent workload for the day they can work as a driver.

Remember Uber also has a food delivery option so if driving others doesn’t feel safe to you, you can look into that. There are other food delivery services out there too like Instacart.

4. Answer Surveys And Work Point Programs

Here is a list of 15 places where you can earn gift cards–some offer a Paypal payout option and others offer gift cards to places where you probably either buy food or clothing or more. Some offer ways to earn points such as searching the web or shopping online; my guess is you are already doing that so why not earn gift cards for it?

5. Earn Money By Helping Others Move Big Things

Do you own a truck and have a pretty good set of muscles? Well, you might want to look into the apps Lugg and TaskRabbit (must be 21 years old) where you can hire yourself out to do moving jobs big and small.

6. Walk Dogs

If you love pets and love walking them, then working through a pet sitting app like Rover might be a good source of income for you.

7. Create A Blog Or YouTube Channel

Creating a blog or YouTube channel that pays a decent wage is not instant. It took me three years to earn what I would call a decent hourly wage from my blog. But if you love doing either and stick with it, slowly over time blogging or vlogging can become a great source of income.

Starting a blog is as easy as 1. 2. 3. 4:

Pick a domain name (blog name) and register it: I use Go Daddy. This is so simple and inexpensive to do.
Pick a Web Host: I started out with BlueHost. It is inexpensive and makes a good first hosting company for newbie bloggers.
Get started on WordPress.org: I started with a free WordPress template and saved up money until I could afford Genesis with the Prose child theme.
Start blogging: I simply jumped right in (Yep, that is my first post. It makes me cringe, but I did it!). I learned as I went and I don’t regret it.

I don’t have personal experience with a YouTube channel that I can share with you, but my guess is if you Google “creating a Youtube channel”, you will find enough free information to get started.

8. Resell Thrifty Store Finds On eBay Or Poshmark (18 and over)

So you are going to need a bit of storage area to do this, but if you can figure out where to put at least one tote of stuff to sell plus another filled with packing supplies, then you have enough room to try reselling items for profit. You also need a place to find undervalued still in great shape items. Start with local thrift stores.

9. Find Great Clearance Deals And Sell Them On Amazon (18 and over)

10. Create Crafts And Sell Them On Etsy or Shopify

Do you create crafts that people continuously compliment you on? Perhaps you can sell them to earn a flexible part-time income around your college classes.

Here are two places to sell your crafts online:

Etsy

Etsy is a large marketplace of crafters. It offers low fees and a vast network of other sellers that you can learn from.

Shopify

Shopify allows you to start your own online store. They offer two different options. For $9 a month you can build a store into an existing website (so essentially you would also have to add in the fees mentioned in the blogging section) or for $29 a month you can build a home for your brand and your very own online store.

11. Post Jobs On Fiverr Or Upworks

Fiverr allows you to post jobs that allow your talents to shine through, whether that be graphics & design, writing & translation, video & animation or much, much more. Check out all the job listing tabs at the top of the Fiverr site to get a few ideas of what you might be able to offer.

Upworks puts freelancers in touch with businesses big and small. There is some overlap in what services you can offer at Fiverr and Upworks, but you won’t find people posting jobs such as “I am willing to make prank calls for you” on Upworks like you can on Fiverr. Upworks is strictly business job offerings such as web designers, developers, and coders.

12. Be A Virtual Assitant

Virtual assistants are used by bloggers and online entrepreneurs to help them with everything from scheduling social media, proofreading articles, creating graphics and more.
