Is there no time left in your schedule for another job, but you would like a bit more money each month? Did you know that you can earn gift cards in little pockets of time throughout your day? Possibly from doing things that you already do without getting paid. You absolutely can! In fact, I have readers who have told me they receive close to $100 a month using these 15 websites and apps for earning gift cards.
15 Websites & Apps You Can Use To Earn Gift Cards

The secret to earning the most through these programs is to sign up for several and then figure out which ones work best for you. If I can figure out how to earn $5 or more a month in gift cards from a company without being on the computer or a smartphone all day, I keep an active account with them. $5 might not sound like much, but if you make $5 at several companies and perhaps $10 or more at others, those small streams add up to a nice stack of gift cards each month.
An App For Saving Money At The Gas Pump
GetUpside is an app that gives you cash back when you get gas. In our area my family is able to use this app at several different gas stations, saving anywhere from 1 cent per gallon to as much as 10 cents per gallon
The GetUpside app is simple to use; it takes less than a minute to find a gas station, claim the offer, and then enter the information needed to start processing the cash back. Generally it takes less than 24 hours to receive your cash back in the “Cash Out” area of the app. You can opt to receive your cash out through PayPal, a mailed check, or a gift card (starting at $10).
Use my referral code YG5ZB during sign up and you will receive a one-time 15¢/gal bonus. Go here to sign up for GetUpside.
The Ibotta app gives you rebates when you complete various tasks for a product in the app and then take a picture of the receipt of purchase for the product you choose at the store you choose and upload it to the app. You can also earn cash back on online purchases by tapping on the store you want to shop at in the Ibotta app and then shopping through the app.
Shopkick is the app that pays you to browse. You don’t have to purchase anything to earn gift cards through the Shopkick app. You simply sign in when you enter select stores and earn kicks just for coming in the store. You can also get kicks for purchases or for scanning items in the store while you shop. They also have a section where you can earn points for shopping online.
4. Fetch Rewards
Fetch Rewards is an app that offers points when you buy one or more products made by a brand on their list of over 150. Simply scan your receipt and then fetch your reward.
Enter my referral code RE9FU during signing up for the Fetch Rewards App and receive 1500 points when you complete one receipt.
CoinOut earns you cash back with almost any receipt/purchase. You can choose from three payment options (PayPal, Bank Deposit, or Amazon) and two of them have zero minimum earning amounts. There is a limit on how many receipts you can upload in a day, but the receipts can be a few days old before you upload them–which is a nice feature for us forgetful folks.
Makeena is an app I am just starting to explore. It offers rebates on organic foods including many “any brand” offers that include items like milk, eggs, and various organic vegetables and brand specific deals.
Go here to sign up for Makeena and use my referral code TWNAVD during sign up to earn 1000 points (equals $1) once you upload your first receipt.
Cash Back Companies
7. Top CashBack
Top Cashback offers higher cash back rates than most rebate companies. There is no minimum payment threshold with Top Cashback. Plus you can get an extra 2.5% when you choose an Amazon gift card code for your form of payment. Their list contains over 3,200 online stores.
The Honey browser extension will offer you a cash back if available through their Honey Gold program. If there is you get Honey Gold points and when those add up to 1000 you can cash out for a $10 gift card.
Programs With Multiple Ways To Earn: Some You Are Already Doing For Free!
Swagbucks pays you random points to search through their site. The best way to earn Swagbucks is to download their toolbar or make the site your home page so that you remember to enter all your searches through them.
$5 gift cards start at 450 points for an Amazon card and you can easily earn at least one a month by doing nothing but entering all your searches through their site. Earn a few more by doing just a few additional point earning activities that will cost you just minutes a day.

Get points by shopping online through Mypoints. You don’t have to shop though; you can also earn points by clicking the emails they send you, answering survey’s, printing coupons, downloading their search bar and much more.
How much you earn depends on how many things you do. $10 gift cards to various restaurants and stores start at 1600 points.
Here is the tutorial I wrote on the 7 different ways to earn with MyPoints.
The insta in instaGC stands for instant gift card redemptions–gotta love that. That is right, no waiting for your gift card. I also like that you can cash out at just 100 points for a $1 Amazon gift card code and reaching 100 points isn’t that hard.
Here is my tutorial on instaGC: My Favorite Ways To Earn With InstaGC.
12. Branded Surveys
Branded Surveys offers several other ways to earn points besides surveys, but surveys are where the biggest point payoffs are. Each day you can earn 5 points simply by taking a few seconds to participate in their daily poll. Cashouts begin at $10, and there are a variety of different gift card options. You can also request a deposit into your PayPal account.
In Branded Surveys survey area, you will find a box beside each survey that tells you how long each survey should take. I have tested this feature out and found it to be accurate. You are also often given a few points for filling out the qualifying questions for a survey you didn’t get into.
If you really don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to surveys, but you don’t mind answering a few questions in exchange for a gift card now and again, PaidViewpoint is for you. In general, their surveys take less than 5 minutes to fill out, and you get paid for every one. The longest survey I have been a part of was probably right around the 15-minute mark, and I did earn more for it than the short ones.
The cash out threshold for PaidViewpoint is $15, and you can currently get it in the form of a PayPal deposit, Amazon gift card code or a Walmart gift card.
14. Prize Rebel
Prize Rebel offers a good mix of ways to earn gift cards and delivers those gift cards to your email inbox in around 24 hours. Their cash out level is low, meaning you don’t have to wait around forever to cash out and they have a huge selection of gift cards to choose from.
15. Survey Junkie
I am just getting started with testing out Survey Junkie. So far I like what I see. They offer numerous e-code gift card options with cash outs starting at 1,000 points.
