52 Weeks To A Simplified Home: Week 38 Update

This week I worked on the last of the random boxes on the top shelf of our master bedroom closet.

I pulled them all out and put them on my bed for the before shoot because our closet is so narrow that I couldn’t get my camera to get a good shot of the space.

Oh and look, there is my glue gun-truth- I have been looking for it for years. I didn’t break down and buy a new one because I knew I had one somewhere.

I think these boxes were like the bag last week, things just shoved up out of the way when we moved to deal with later, and well—I guess seven years is later!

I ended up reducing the things in the 4 boxes down to just 2 boxes worth. That is a throw my mom made in the top box. It is on its last leg but I keep it since I use it as a pattern for knitting my own throws. I have always been a visual learner so when I craft I prefer having a sample of what the item is suppose to look like as well as a pattern. The bottom box is full of memory items of years gone by.

The rest of the items went to the giveaway box–except the cloth bags my daughter had fun finishing them up (they needed cords) and is using them in her room.
