I have to admit decluttering even just one box this week almost didn’t happen. In fact, I decluttered this week’s box at 6:40 this morning.

Because of the early hour, the photos in today’s post are an off color-but that matters less than the fact that I did it. I stuck to my goal.

This box turned out to have a lot of empty plastic boxes. I kept them for now as I am planning to do the attic next and I know there is a lot of stuff to organize up there. If however when I am done these 52 weeks any of these plastic boxes remain empty off to the thrift store they go.

Yes, even organizing containers can become clutter – if you are not using them get rid of them. I am speaking this to myself more than anyone else. I struggle with giving containers away. I always think but what if I need them later.

Truth – I usually do need them later. However, since I have decluttered most of our home already and haven’t had a need for them, I think this time it is time to let go – as soon as the last project is finished.

These items went either to the recycling box or to the homes where they should be.

The empty boxes went into the box I started last week of things that I want to keep but not sure where they go yet.

And the result is one less box stored beside my husband’s side of the bed.
