52 Weeks To A Simplified Home: Week 37 Update

As I said last week, I just have a few random boxes left in the closet before I move on to the last big area that needs decluttering in our master bedroom – the area I am dreading to show you but will make the most significant impact in the room.

But first this week. This week I grabbed this bag off the top shelf of the closet and was surprised by all the random stuff in it. I seriously think I packed it this way when we moved the 1 mile from our old house to the house we live in currently- 7 years ago!

I must have plunked it on the top shelf of the closet thinking I would deal with it later and never did.

As it turned out this bag had some very random things in it, one find I am pleased about it that necklace is sitting in the ziplock bag. My husband gave it to me when he returned from Africa a few months before we were married. I have been looking for it for awhile. How it got in this bag is beyond me.

A lot of the other items in the bag went straight to either the trash or the giveaway pile.

In fact in the end all I kept was the necklace that went in my jewelry box, the bunny coin bank I made in 8th grade, and the steal container that is now being used in the bathroom to hold items we use daily.
