Udemy offers over 80,000 online courses that start at low rates. I have seen Udemy run sales on specific courses that make them as low as $10. Learn marketing skills, IT and software skills, photography skills and more.

Yep! There are places to get the job skills you need to be a work-at-home mom without paying money. Most of these classes will help you get started in the field you are wanting to pursue, giving you a good idea of whether it is a good fit for you. Once you know you love that area of technical work, you are probably going to want to invest in a few paid for classes to take your learning further.

Khan Academy offers a small selection of computer classes in coding, programming and computer science.

Codecademy offers a large selection of free coding classes.

On Coursera all the courses are free, but if you want certification, you do need to pay for that. They have numerous computer courses in computer science, coding, and programming.

Edx is an open-sourced higher education program. I punched in computer courses and it gave me a selection of 598 to choose from–that could keep one busy for a long while.

Free Code Camp offers thousands of free lessons to help you learn and improve your coding skills.

Don’t Forget YouTube

YouTube is a great free resource to use to get your feet wet in a job skill area that interests you. Use it as a jumping off point to make sure you are well suited to the line of work you want to pursue. Amazon has an app that you can download to any smartphone, tablet or laptop. After your free trial, Kindle Unlimited is still an inexpensive resource for those wanting to further their knowledge in the job area they are trying to break into.
