Our home has used cash to pay for day to day items for years. Over those years I have been on the quest to create the perfect sturdy and durable yet inexpensive cash envelope.
I am extremely happy with my latest design and it seems to be attracting attention of all the cashiers as well. At least once a week a cashier will as me “how did you make those?”.
Here is how to make your own set of sturdy & durable cash envelopes

HINT. If you need to make the words on the boards bigger just click on the image and a larger image will appear. (and don’t worry about it I need the larger print too!)
Post update: I have used these envelopes for over 2 years now and they still look great. I would say that they were definitely worth the time spent to make them.

I’ve been saving the poly-woven bags that my cat litter comes in to make up shopping bags. I think I will use one to make up some envelopes. Of course, they won’t have the pretty designs like a purchased bag, but the decorative duct tape can dress the white up while the branding can be inside.

How neat! We use the cash envelope system, but don’t have fancy envelopes. Thanks for sharing this! 🙂

Your welcome. We didn’t start off with fancy envelopes either, just in the last few years have I experimented with making my cash envelopes as fancy as they are practical.

I have been searching for a wrestle type wallet to use with cash envelopes!! I’m going to make these, and I’m trying to find the current style “strap” wallet? Any idea which it might be? The link isn’t working for me so I looked on the VB site but November are called strap wallet?
Aubrey Carey says
Haha should be wristlet not wrestle!;)
