A simple & Thrifty Valentine’s Day game

Many Valentine’s days ago I stumbled on an idea that made for some silly thrifty Valentine’s day play between my husband and I.
At a Valentine’s themed Mother’s of Preschoolers meeting I was given a plastic heart shape figurine with arms and legs.
On a whim I decided to hide it in the pocket of my husbands work scrubs. That afternoon I found it on top of my laundry soap. I then hid it in his lunch the next day. I then found it in my running shoe the next morning. This game of hide and seek went on well past Valentine’s day in fact it went on for weeks between my husband and I with not a word said about it.
Each time I found the silly little heart shaped man, I thought of my husband and how he took a moment out of his day to play my game, and that lead to further thoughts of other kind things he has done for me over the years.
Each time he found the little heart shaped man, he thought of me, and all the little things I do to remind him that I love him.
Such a simple game with such a big impact.
I dare you to go out and start a game of hide and seek with your loved one today! It doesn’t have to cost a lot. I am guessing you could even begin the game for free just like I did. Search through the kids toy bins until you find a small stuffed bear, or find some red fabric and sew up a little heart stuffed with a cotton ball or some more fabric. Go outside and find a small smooth rock and write your initials on it using sharpie or nail polish. Be creative and I am sure you can find something around the house that will work.
