From New Town to Hometown: Creating Friendships & Community is a series close to my heart. I hope you have enjoyed what you have read this last month. I hope that it has helped you and will continue to help others who stumble upon this series in the coming months and years.
These tips I have shared over the last 31 days are ones my own family did ourselves as we were settling in to our own new town over 11 years ago. These tips are what I believe made me feel rooted in a community faster than I thought possible.
I am still practicing the becoming friend worthy principles God laid on my heart years ago, although I fail often, but thankfully the friends I have made give grace. I don’t search out new events to make more friends as often anymore but am still making new friends within those activities I did decide to keep. My family and I continue to explore our local area and our state, and with each new place we discover our roots are further established.
For thirty days now I have shared all about making friendships and community and so I think it is fitting to end this series with a way to create friendship and community right here on this site.
I know most who read blogs don’t comment but today I am asking you do be bold and leave a comment introducing yourself.
Here are a 3 things you could share. You can share just one or all 3. (I will answer here to get the conversation started)
If you have 5 minutes to yourself what do you do?
I scan Pinterest, Facebook, or Instagram for fun not for blog promotion.
Do you consider yourself and extrovert or an introvert?
I am an introvert, I didn’t always think I was until I started realizing that most people don’t like people watching like I do. Most people had more than 50 people to their wedding and loved it, me I thought the 48 people I had including the wedding party was a HUGE CROWD.
What is your favorite food indulgence?
Organic dark chocolate preferable with a bit of ginger inside.
Now please share your answers below so we can start to get to know each other.
