Along this one path from the beach to the campground I was struck by the large amount of grass growing up between the cracks of the wooden walk way.
With nothing but sand as its foundations, and almost no sun to nurture it this grass was growing and thriving.
This grass had found just a sliver of light and had grown towards it, doing all it could to seek the light it needed for growth and survival.
The picture brought me hope. Hope that even those of us born into environments that are not as fertile as they ought to be can still grow and flourish, we can still find the light that we need to become all that we were created to be.
If you are currently in an environment that is not as nurturing as it could be, or if you were once in one and still feel crippled by its effects, seek the light, and grow to your full potential.
Those who look to him are radiant;
their faces are never covered with shame.
