I like being able to pronounce all the names of the ingredients that go into our bake goods. I also like having a life beyond the kitchen. The solution …… a simple yet faster way to bake cookies.

By pressing a batch of cookie dough into a 9X12 pan I save the time of shaping cookies and I can bake up the entire batch of cookies at one time.
I have tried this out with many types of cookies, from the classic chocolate chip to the seasonal sugar cookie and it has worked every time.
In general, one batch fills a nine-by-twelve pan and takes around 15 to 18 minutes to cook, depending on what type of cookie you are baking. My suggestion is to turn your timer on for at least 12 minutes and then pull out the pan and check it if the cookie bar is lightly brown around the edges; it is probably done.
Once the batch has cooled for 5 to 10 minutes, I then take a knife and cut it into roughly 20 to 30 squares.
If you want, you can even take one more time-saving step and make up a double batch of your favorite dough and freeze half of it in a ziplock bag while you bake up the other half.
To bake up the frozen dough, take it out of the freezer several hours before you want to bake it and then squish it into your nine by twelve pan and bake.
