Are you looking for an inexpensive and yet meaningful Valentine’s Day gift for your significant other? The answer could be a stack of Post-It Notes and a bit of creativity--don’t worry, I have done the creative thinking for you.

Looking for a Valentine's Day gift for your significant other that won't cost a lot of money? The answer could be a stack of Post-It Notes. #valentinesday #valentinesdayfun #giftsforhim #valentinesdayideas #frugalliving #thriftyliving

Post-It Notes are relatively inexpensive, making them the perfect ingredient for thrifty Valentine’s Day fun. They also come in Valentine’s colors of pink and red; you can even purchase them in the shape of hearts.

The first thing you will notice about my list of ideas is they all mention a husband. That is because I wrote them from my point of view being a married woman. However, these ideas could work for wives, boyfriends, or girlfriends too.

For Valentine's Day create a trail of love notes using Post-It Notes.

1. Make A Trail of Love Notes

Write down one thing you love about him such as”his laugh” or “his smile”–anything. Place that note where you husband parks his vehicle, then make a trail of these type of notes either to a small plate of treats just for him or a romantic dinner for two waiting inside or…the ideas are endless.

For Valentine's Day hide Post-It Notes with reasons why you love them written on them so they will find them slowly throughout the day.

2. Play Hide and Seek With the Notes

Instead of a trail make up 10 or so random “I love you because…” style notes and leave them in random places for your husband to find throughout his day. One in his lunch, another on his dashboard, and so on until you have them all placed.

Hold a Valentine's Day treasure hunt by leaving a trail of Post-It Notes with clues around the house.

3. A Treasure Hunt

This is a twist on my first suggestion, instead of a trail of reasons why you love him, this time make each post it a clue that will lead him to another post-it and so on. Until he arrives at…perhaps a gift certificate for your favorite place to eat for just the two of you and then tell him you already have the babysitter ready. Of course, you could make your treasure hunt with your husband spicier than that too! use your imagination. 🙂

Use Post-It Notes to spell out "I Love You" for Valentine's Day.

4. Spell Out I Love You In A Big Way

Cover a large space of blank wall or a bathroom mirror with post-it notes arranged to spell out I (heart) U. You might also want to put a picture of the two of you together in the middle of the heart.

Create an entire outfit out of Post-It Notes for Valentine's Day.

5. Create An Outfit Entirely Out Of Post-It Notes

The title says it all.

Add a stack of pink Post-It Notes to your next Amazon order and have a bit of thrifty Valentine’s Day fun this year!
