While I was healing my Plantar Fasciitis, I wrote a post about what was helping me get relief as well as helping my foot to heal. In the comment section of that post, many readers also suffering from Plantar Fasciitis started listing brands of shoes that have helped them walk more comfortably. Shoes that are fashionable!
The list keeps growing and I thought it might be handy to list the suggestions in a post of its own. These shoes are not your typical ultra-conservative support shoe. These shoes have support and style!
Please note: I am not a medical practitioner; my advice is not medical help. Also, note that besides the Birkenstocks listed below, I have not personally tried any of these brands of shoes–although I do know that they have been helpful to others.
I am currently not suffering from Plantar Fasciitis, but I know it is still important that I wear good, supportive shoes wherever I go, whether just to the store or on a hike, to keep it from coming back. I do now walk barefoot in my home as I have heard that helps strengthen the muscles in the foot, but if I am standing for long periods of time while in the house, such as when I am cooking I go and grab a pair of supportive shoes.

Vionic
Vionic makes walking shoes, flats, flip-flops and slip-on espadrilles. With dozens of styles to choose from, there is surely something that you will like.
Birkenstocks
I love Birkenstocks! My mom bought me a pair in high school when I was experiencing some foot pain (can’t remember what type) and I was hooked. I have owned several pairs in the 20+ years since my high school years. They come in many different styles, but are primarily a summer shoe. My current favorites are Mayari sandal.
Fitflops
Although Fitflops does primarily make supportive, fashionable flip-flops they do also make a ballerina slipper and a sneaker, plus a few other styles.
OOFOS
OOFOS makes flip-flops, sliders and clogs in a wide variety of colors.
Mephisto
Mephisto makes a wide variety of different shoe styles including sandals (this style is similar to Birkenstocks, but they do have many other types of sandals), ankle boots (these would look good with jeans), walking shoes and more.
Are you a Plantar Fasciitis Sufferer? If so, have you found a brand of shoes that eases the pain and is also fashionable? I would love it if you shared it with my readers in the comment section below so that we can all benefit from your find.

I have had great good luck with Kuru shoes. I bought one pair (had to send them back because of size) but their return policy is really good (just don’t wear them outside!) When I got the correct size the relief was incredible. I have since purchased 3 more pairs. Pay attention to the comments about each shoe, you may have to go up a size on some styles. They have almost completely alleviated my heel pain. They are pricy ($100-140) but so worth it. They are the only shoes I wear. They have flipflops, and sandals along with athletic shoes.

Vionic shoes work well for me and also The Walking Company has a couple of good brands. Their in-house brand Abeo is great. Both Vionic and Abeo have insoles that I have used in my golf shoes with success.

I love My OOFOS sandals. I wear them all day long. I run an in home daycare so am on my feet all day and I wear my OOFOS, have several pairs for inside and outside. I have a very high arch and these are the only flip flop that provides comfort to my feet.

Thanks for the recommendation and review. I have not yet tried OOFOS yet.

Taos sandals, especially the one named Trulie, has given me great relief. The Gift 2 is comfortable as well. After wearing only tennis shoes for months, it is great to have a sandal to wear! They are not cheap, but worth every penny if you suffer with plantar fasciitis.

Thanks for tip.

I wear abeo and naot. Abeo has excellent walking shoes and cute sandals. They have summer dress up sandals with a 1 1/2 heel but they are so comfy. They also had nice shoes with a good size heel.

Thanks! I have not heard of those brands, I will have to check them out.

Have you tried Chacos? They work very well for me. I have an extremely narrow foot and I am able to adjust these sandals to fit I buy the Cloud footbed. It is much lighter than the original footbed. I also have their boots and love the way they fit. My next go to is Vionic.
