Strawberry watermelon lemonade slushy is one of my children’s favorite summer treats. I don’t mind serving it to them because it is a great way to fit in some more fruit into their diet and it is sweetened with just a bit of honey, making it a healthy alternative to the slushy drinks we sometimes get at the gas station.

This recipe is also a great way to use up a watermelon that was found to be mushy when cut open.
The ingredients are simple, fresh watermelon, frozen strawberries, lemonade concentrate, honey and ice.
I prefer to use frozen strawberries for but if you only have fresh and you can’t wait, just add more ice.
I first dice up about 2 to 3 cups of fresh watermelon and place it in the bottom of my blender.
I love my Oster brand beehive blender. I love that is has a glass jug and that I can buy replacement parts on Amazon if I need to. It does sometimes have a bit of a problem fully blending when it has a 100% full jar, so that is why I like to put the fresh watermelon in first to give it some liquid to help move the frozen parts of the drink. I am thinking of getting the milkshake blade and seeing if the problem of slow mixing a full jar disappears .
After the watermelon I add in the lemon concentrate followed by the honey, frozen strawberries and then as much ice as can fit on top and squeeze on the lid.
I blend it for about 2 to 3 minutes until it is all mixed smoothly. A full blender makes 3 huge glasses full or 4 medium sized glasses.

would like to make this, but want to make sure I add the right amount of lemon juice concentrate. Is it 1/4 tsp, tbs, cup?
