Coconut Almond Chocolate Bars

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 3 teaspoons pure maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/3 cup crushed almonds
  • 1/8 tsp celtic sea salt you can use another brand of sea salt but you might have to add a tad more

Method
 

  1. grease a 8 by 8 pan and line it with wax paper, also greased.
  2. melt the coconut oil (If using microwave take it 20 seconds on high at a time and stir in between until it is just melted
  3. add unsweetened cocoa powder to melted coconut oil and stir until well blended.
  4. add in coconut and almonds and blend
  5. add the salt and stir
  6. pour out the mixture into the greased and wax lined 8 by 8 pan
  7. place pan on an even surface in freezer
  8. allow to harden (should take 10 to 15 minutes)
  9. take out of pan and peel off wax paper
  10. cut into pieces and place in a freezer safe container
  11. take it out piece by piece as you want to consume it.
