Chocolate Peppermint Syrup

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/8 th teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract

Method
 

  1. mix cocoa and water
  2. heat and stir until cocoa is dissolved
  3. add sugar
  4. stir until sugar is dissolved
  5. bring to a boil
  6. let it boil on medium heat for 3 minutes
  7. remove from heat
  8. add in salt, vanilla, and peppermint
  9. let cool
  10. store in glass container
  11. keeps several weeks in the fridge
