Chocolate Peppermint Syrup

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/8 th teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract

Instructions
 

  • mix cocoa and water
  • heat and stir until cocoa is dissolved
  • add sugar
  • stir until sugar is dissolved
  • bring to a boil
  • let it boil on medium heat for 3 minutes
  • remove from heat
  • add in salt, vanilla, and peppermint
  • let cool
  • store in glass container
  • keeps several weeks in the fridge
