No Bake Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Oat Bars

Ingredients
  

  • Peanut Butter Squares
  • 1 cup 100% natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 cups quick oats
  • Chocolate Bar Topping
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

Instructions
 

  • Instructions for making the peanut butter oat bars
  • Mix together the peanut butter and honey in a saucepan and place on medium low on the stove.
  • When the peanut butter and honey have completely melted together take the saucepan off the stove.
  • Stir in the oats
  • Place the mixture in an 8 by 8 pan that has been greased and lined with wax paper.
  • Use the back of a metal spoon to spread the mixture around the pan until you have an even bar.
  • Place in freezer for about 30 minutes to cool. (or you can leave it out to cool it will just take a bit longer)
  • Instructions For Making The Chocolate Topping
  • Put coconut oil into a microwavable glass bowl
  • Melt coconut oil
  • Quickly stir in cocoa powder, salt and maple syrup
  • Pour mixture over peanut butter oat bars and rock pan back and forth until it forms a consistent layer on top of the bars.
  • Place flat in freezer and allow chocolate to harden. (takes about 5 to 10 minutes)
