We all hear time and time again, consider kicking your Starbucks habit to save money.
What if however, there was a way to get your Starbucks for less? What if I told you that you could enjoy it for free several times a year?
I might spend $20 a year on my Starbucks habit, yet I grab one of their drinks usually at least twice a month, sometimes more.
How do I keep my costs so low?
1. MyPoints
Earn 5 points through their click thru emails and 10 points unqualified surveys and more for qualified surveys. Also earn points for shopping on-line at many retail sites when you click through the my points website to the retailer of your choice.
A starbucks card through MyPoints is currently 1650 points for $10.
2. Swagbucks
Join Swagbucks and make them your homepage or at least download their tool bar, then enter all your searches through them.
For just 635 swagbuck points you can get a $5 e-card for Starbucks, use it to fill your registered Starbucks gift card.
3. Register a Gift Card.
When you take the time to go on line and register a Starbucks gift card, you are entered for their star program. Right away that entitles you to a free drink on your birthday.
Make sure that once you have registered your card that you take just a few minutes each time you earn a new free card to transfer funds to your originally registered card so that your star points will star adding up.
Each drink you order is worth a star. Get up to 5 stars and you move up to green level which means you get free in house refills on hot or iced coffee.Buy a bag of beans to take home and you get a free drink with it.
Get 30 stars in less than one year, and you get gold level, not only do you get a fancy gold gift card with your name on it, but with every 15 drinks you get a free drink.
4. Sales
Yes even Starbucks has sales, like their Facebook page or sign up for their e-mails and you will find out about them before they even begin.
5. MySurvey
MySurvey is a survey company that pays in points that you can cash in for gift card and other prizes.
A $10 e-card to Starbucks is 1100 points.
Survey work takes time, so only sign up if you have some down time in your week where you are sitting idle and could answer questions as a form of multi-tasking.
6. Spread the Word that Starbucks Gift cards make a great gifts
I don’t know about you but I know I do not need help adding knick-knacks to my cluttered home.
So when my friend’s give me a gift card especially one to Starbucks they have made my day and I make sure I tell them so.
How about you? Do you have a tip for getting your Starbucks kick for less?

My husband travels a lot and one of his team members told him about the Starbucks reward program earlier this year. Needless to say he has already earned his gold card. It is pretty cool all the free things you can get.
Or, buy the store bought iced coffee. One container (which is about a half gallon) is the cost of one Grande Frapp. And it is very tasty!
I am a Starbucks gal too, but sometimes it just adds up too quickly!
I agree it does add up quickly, I like going though as a special treat to myself, as a mom and daughter date, or with friends.Generally though I enjoy coffee at home made with my french press and then cooled and and served over ice with milk and stevia.
