These programs are simple to use and you can earn points towards Target gift cards sometimes for doing things you already do now, but are not currently getting paid for–including shopping.
12 Places To Earn Target Gift Cards: Plus Ways To Stretch Them Further
Cash Back Apps
Use Ibotta to collect cash back on groceries, clothing, pet supplies, home decor, entertainment and more. Chances are the stores where you shop work with Ibotta.
Once you sign up, click on the account icon. At the bottom, you will find “how to use Ibotta.” Click on it and you will find a tutorial explaining how and where you can use it.
2. Fetch Rewards
It is super simple to earn points using FetchRewards. Just shop wherever you shop for groceries and when you are done, upload your receipt to FetchRewards. Within 24 hours (sometimes longer) you will receive points for your receipt. What you earn depends on what you bought and what their current offers are.
Use my referral code RE9FU at sign-up and receive 1500 points when you complete one receipt (that puts you halfway to your first cash out right there).
If your family has gluten allergies or prefers organic and all natural products, BerryCart could generate some decent cash backs for you on your grocery shopping.
You don’t have to purchase anything to earn gift cards through the Shopkick app. You just sign in when you enter select stores and earn kicks for entering the store and/or by scanning select products while you shop. You can earn more by purchasing specific products and uploading the receipt.
Go here to sign up for Shopkick. Use my referral code KICK040635 when you sign up and get 250 kicks when you do your first walk-in or scan within seven days of joining.
Last time I counted there were over 25 ways to earn points through Swagbucks. Here is a post I wrote that explains the ten simplest ways to earn gift cards with Swagbucks.
The Insta stands for instant, and that is one thing I like about InstaGC. The other thing I like is low cash out values. If you only have 100 points, you can still get a $1 instant Target gift card code.
There are a few simple ways to earn with InstaGC and this post shares four I like.
PrizeRebel has a low cash out threshold with target gift cards starting at just 500 points for a $5 gift card. PrizeRebel has nine ways to earn–you can learn about them here. The major way to earn is surveys but they do offer several video viewing options that make for quick and easy point earning.
8. MyPoints (offer e-codes that can only be used online at Target.com)
My favorite no-brainer way to earn points through MyPoints is by clicking the emails they send you. Each one is only worth 5 points, but those few points slowly start to add up until they equal a cash out earned through very little time spent.
iRazoo offers a few simple ways to earn such as watching videos or searching the web through their search bar. They also have a large survey selection and a section where you can earn points for playing games. If you don’t like lengthy surveys, I suggest sticking to playing their videos in the background as you do other things. Doing this regularly should lead to you earning a $5 gift card each month. Not much, but it certainly is a simple way to earn a gift card.
Get 500 points at sign up when you use my referral code, EAZKPH. That is a pretty nice sign-up bonus! (works out to $1.25 with current 3000 points for a $5 gift card value)
10. Branded Surveys
Branded Surveys (formerly called MintVine) offers several other ways to earn points besides surveys, but surveys are where the biggest point payoffs are. Each day you can earn 5 points by merely taking a few seconds to participate in their daily poll.
11. Survey Junkie
I am just getting started with testing out Survey Junkie. So far I like what I see. They offer numerous e-code gift card options with cashouts starting at 1,000 points for a $10 gift card.
Brand Reward Programs
12. Kellogg’s Family Rewards
Kellogg’s Family Rewards is a brand loyalty program that gives you points when you purchase Kellogg’s products and upload the receipt to the website. You can also register your store loyalty cards and then your points will be automatically added for you. I get most of my points from free codes found over at Money Saving Mom.
Ways To Stretch Those Target Gift Cards
If Shopping In-store
1. Use The Target App
Inside the Target app, you will find Cartwheel deals. These are basically digital coupons that can save you money on your purchases.
2. Look For Printable Coupons
Don’t forget traditional sources of coupons such as printable coupon sites like Coupons.com, Hopster, Redplum, and Smart Source. They might only save you $0.50 here and a dollar there, but remember: small streams of savings add up.
3. Use Smartphone Apps
Use the apps mentioned above in this article such as Ibotta and ShopKick to earn points toward more gift cards as you shop. If you visit a super Target store for groceries, upload the receipt to the Fetch Rewards app to earn points toward your next Target gift card.
4. Check Out Deal Sites & Weekly Ads
Read Money Saving Mom for great deals and don’t forget to visit Target.com and click the “weekly ad” tab for a list of what’s currently on sale.
5. Look For Clearance
I have gotten workout tops for as low as $3 and tank tops for $2.50 through shopping Target clearance racks. Most of the clearance deals are found either at the end of each aisle or on well-marked racks in the clothing area.
If Shopping Online
Use a cash back site to earn cash back on your purchases. There are a lot of cash back sites out there. Here are the ones I use most often.
MrRebates has a website, app, and Chrome extension button making earning cash back simple. You can request a cash out once your account hits $10. They offer cash back at thousands of stores.
Ebates offers coupons, promo codes, and discounts at thousands of different stores. I use their web extension to make sure I never miss a chance to earn a cash back through my online purchases.
Swagbucks & MyPoints
Don’t forget to check Swagbucks and MyPoints. Their shop and earn sections sometimes offer high cash back rates that beat out the companies above and since they both offer Target gift cards, the points you earn for shopping through their sites will help you earn more Target gift cards.
Grab a $5 off Coupon From RecycleBank
RecycleBank has a coupon for $5 off $50 for a Target.com order for just 50 points. 50 points is pretty simple to earn, making the coupon a quick way to earn a $5 discount if you happen to be placing an order over $50.
