When I saw that Chasing Hope was about 2 runners I had to review it for Bethany House. If you have read my blog for a while you will know that I love to run.
Chasing Hope is set on the campus of Tennessee State University and the city that surrounds it. It is a story of a college student and a high school student both living with their grandmothers, both having a great ability to run . The similarities between the girls pretty much ends there though and it makes for some turbulent episodes within the pages of the book.
By the last pages of the book the storms between the two girls has settled and they become women who are not only sure of their life purpose but are actively living it out and inspiring others to do the same.
Chasing Hope reminded me that sometimes we can miss God’s calling when we get so focus on what we thought the outcome would be instead of being still and allowing Him to show us . When we are still and listening we might discover that what we thought was a major set back was really a building blog that will enable us to better serve out our life purpose for Him.
(This book was given to me for purpose of review but opinions are 100% mine)
