Turn that wad of receipts in your wallet or on top of your dresser into cash with the CoinOut app! The CoinOut app is a simple way to earn cash back from purchases made in-store or online.

I tell my readers all the time that tiny streams of income can add up over time. One small stream of income can be found through the consistent use of the user-friendly CoinOut app.
The CoinOut app takes just seconds to use, has two no minimum cash out options, and offers you a way to make money from something you already have to do–purchase items and pay for services. Just take those receipts from the items and services you paid for and upload them to the CoinOut app and earn money.
1. Sign Up For CoinOut
Use this invite link to gain an access code to the CoinOut app, then go ahead and download the app to your smartphone. Follow the instructions inside the app to complete your profile so you can get started with earning.
2. Upload Valid Receipts
CoinOut accepts almost any receipt except for ATM receipts, lotto tickets, credit card slips, coupon and money orders. I have been using the app for just over a week now and have tested it with a vet bill, a medical bill, various grocery receipts, a few fast food purchases, an independently owned pet store, and IKEA. It worked at all these places.
You can upload receipts that are up to but no older than two weeks old. The receipt scan must show the date, store, total and line items.
What you earn per receipt is entirely random. I have received anywhere from one cent to as much as seventeen cents per receipt so far. Yes, that is a small amount, but remember: tiny streams of income add up when you combine them with more small streams. Here is a list of other apps like CoinOut that you can use to do just that.
3. Follow In-App Instructions To Earn Cash From Online Purchases
I have yet to do this, but it looks like it is a pretty simple process to earn money from online purchases through CoinOut. Currently, at the top of the app, you will see a few stores listed. If you see the store you want to shop at online there, tap it and follow the instructions found there. If the store you want to shop at isn’t seen at the top of the app, click “all stores” and a list will show up that you can scroll through to see if the CoinOut app is offering a cash back for the store you want to shop at online.
4. Check Out CointOut Badges For Additional Ways To Earn Cash
Just under the online cash back icons, you will find what CoinOut calls badges. Click these and if you decide to perform the task found there, you will earn additional cash.
5. Cash Out For A Bank Deposit, Amazon Gift Card Or A PayPal
CoinOut offers three ways to cash out–bank deposit, Amazon gift card or PayPal. You can get a cash out to your bank or as an Amazon gift card at any amount. I tested this by cashing out when I only had 16 cents in my CoinOut account and I did indeed receive an Amazon e-gift card to my email address in the amount of sixteen cents around 24 hours after I ordered it (CoinOut app says it can take up to 48 hours to receive your cash out).
To receive a deposit to your PayPal account, you must have a balance of at least $10 in the CoinOut app.
6. My First Cashout with CoinOut
As my regular readers know, I like testing out money making apps, survey companies, and point reward websites before recommending them–I then share about the ones I like.
It didn’t take me long to decide that the CoinOut app deserved a review and a how-to guide on the blog. It is so simple to use and it takes so many different types of receipts making it easy for just about anyone to earn money from it.
As I said in the section above, I tried a cash out when my account reached just sixteen cents and it took me only one day and two receipts to earn that. The Amazon gift card I cashed out for took just over 24 hours to arrive in my inbox (the app says it can take up to 48 hrs). After I got it, I was able to apply it to my Amazon account with no issues.
My only struggle with the CoinOut app so far has been long receipts since they don’t have an “add a section” button like other apps. But this morning as I was writing this blog post in CoinOut’s “How It Works” section I found under the “What receipts receive cash back?” section the tip to try folding longer receipts making sure to get at least the date, store name and total bill amount. So I am going to try that with my next long receipt to see if it works.

Does this work in Canada, too?
I don’t know. You could try and download it. My guess is if it doesn’t work in Canada it will tell you as soon as you try and enter your address.
What other apps will work for the U. S. A. territories like Guam?
That I am not sure of.
