3 Things I Am Loving Lately What about you

I am currently outside on my covered front porch writing this as it is softly raining. It is Wednesday afternoon and I should have written this post last night but my two youngest children and I have been busy these past few days squeezing in a bit more summer fun before my son’s soccer games begin for this season.

First Thing I am LOVING Lately….

Being a mom

Okay so I am not just loving being a mom lately–I have loved it since the first day they put baby number one in my arms. It is just that lately I am being reminded over and over how fast this season of having your children live under your roof really is.

This week I took my youngest two to Indiana Beach to use the free tickets they earned through our local library’s summer reading club for teens.

I hadn’t taken them for a few years and when we arrived it became painfully obvious that our days of Indiana Beach were over. Their youth group has taken them to King’s Island for the past two years now and sadly the experience of the larger park shrunk the thrill of the smaller park.

This day and this realization was just one more reminder to me that parenthood is full of seasons, and my  current season is rapidly changing–but I LOVE every season.

Second Thing I am LOVING lately….

A road trip to visit friends

One reason this article is late is because I spent Monday and Tuesday with those same two kids in the first picture visiting friends who moved recently.

We had fun checking out our friend’s new neighborhood. The trip was bittersweet. We loved seeing them but hated leaving them.

The experience makes me thankful for social media. It use to be when friends moved you slowly lost touch–now they are never more than a Facebook status or a Instagram picture away.

yaarlo app

Third Thing I am LOVING Lately…

How simple the Yaarlo  app is to use

I have been using the Yaarlo app for a few weeks now and love how simple it is to earn a bit of cash back on your groceries, fast food purchases, Gas, wholesale club purchases, and more.

Just download the app (enter the code VICTORIA424 when you sign up to earn more) and start scanning your receipts.

I have used it at ALDI and Meijer so far.

Psst… one more thing

This year I really wanted to put myself out there and get to know exactly who reads this blog and let them see who writes it. Lately I have discovered that Facebook live is a great way to do that. Make sure you follow me on Facebook so you can join along.
