A big shout out of thanks to all of you that have been visiting Snail Pace Transformations for my updates on Money Saving Mom’s “4 weeks to a more organized home series”.
Congratulations to all of you who have been completing the assignments.
I know I am so glad I did. Our home feels so less cluttered now, and I feel like I have finally gained a good housekeeping routine.
1.Get dressed.
Jeans and a t-shirt again.
2.Make a list of 5 to 7 things to complete today.
Here are the 7 things I did today
A. I finished the batch of homemade laundry soap I started yesterday and got it all stored away. That is 297 loads worth you are looking at!
B. I balanced our books and paid all bills since it was pay day.
C. I posted this weeks installment of “Building a Home Library Inexpensively”
D. I froze all the waffles I made yesterday.
E. I took the children to the library.
Can you guess what I borrowed?
F. I paid the children their wages and took them shopping.
Courtney spent a portion of her months earnings on art supplies.
Aiden spent a portion of his at Game Stop for a previously owned game (be still my frugal heart).
Thomas spent some of his earnings on a iTunes card
Of course they all had to buy a bit of candy too!
G. I made a cookie cake to celebrate the children and I successfully completing the “4 Weeks to a More Organized Home Series”
I had so much fun decorating it all up! It is now stored safely in our tummies!
3.Complete your morning routine
Completed.
4.Clean out and re-organize your medicine cupboard(s).
We keep our very sparse supply of medicines in a kitchen cabinet, so I did it when I cleaned out the kitchen cabinets Tuesday.
5.Set the timer for at least 15 minutes and do something you really enjoy and that relaxes and rejuvenates you.
I will be doing that later this evening when I watch the (in)RL conference from the comfort of my living room.
I loved this series so much, I was excited to hear Money Saving Mom has something new planned for us in May. She is keeping the something new a secret for now but I am thinking it won’t be another cleaning series. Whatever it is I am sure it will have a positive impact on those that partake in it, and I say “count me in”.
How about you? Did you do any spring cleaning this year?
